Polynesian Spa Rotorua - Pavilion Pools

Communal changing space was clean, with a few private cubicles. There were about 4 communal showers plus a private one for disabled folk. Plentiful plastic containers for clothing were housed on open shelves near the main undercover pool & we used one locker between us for valuables. We spent 3 glorious hours moving through the series of outdoor pools which range by temperature and acidity/alkalinity. We loved soaking up their healing powers whilst having a great catchup, fabulous for the soul, especially lounging in the ones that face out across the lake. Dry weather was a bonus but there's always the indoor pool if it's wet or miserable. Our visit was mostly very quiet, getting busier towards lunchtime. We opted not to shower afterwards to maximise the minerals. On the way out/in, there's a gorgeous shopping space, café & yummy gelato counter. Overall, this was a fantastic experience which we hadn't had for many years. It's on the Do-It-Again list for the next Rotovegas visit. Tips: Parking - No time limit in the venue's dedicated section, but it fills up later in the day. Mostly 180-minute parking outside of that, which should be enough. Paid locker - One-time use so you'll need to pay again if you go back. Bring - Water bottle, refilling at the water fountains dotted around. Spare towel to take around with you. Jandals for a more pleasant experience when walking around (cold, wet matting doesn't work for me). Hair/face mask to pop on while you're soaking, being careful not to contaminate the waters. Cold shower - There's one tucked beside a pool. Spurts in odd directions so you'll get wet hair.
