Our unique and fully-commentated tram tour passes Christchurch’s central city sights including, the Christchurch Botanic Gardens Tour and the Gondola Shuttle bus, the Avon River, the Canterbury Museum, New Regent Street, Cathedral Junction, Punting on the Avon and the Gothic-style Arts Centre.

Learn about the past, present and future plans for the city from our friendly and knowledgeable tram drivers. You can hop on and off the trams as you please with your ticket, allowing you to explore the city at your leisure! This is a stunning way to take in the city in a relaxed historic fashion.

What's included

  • Jump on and off, ticket on Christchurch Tram valid for the day from the booked time until closing time

Location

  • Board at any of our 17 Tram stops in Christchurch CBD.

Restrictions

  • Children must be accompanied on the Trams at all times by a paying adult. For safety reasons, we allow one adult to supervise up to five children or infants aged 15 years and under.

Notes

  • Please Note: You can have up to 3x FREE children aged 5-15 years per paying adult. Infants under 5 are free of charge.

  • In line with the governments traffic light system, vaccination certificates will be required at Christchurch Tram from 3 December for guests aged over 12 years and 3 months. Please present your My Vaccine Pass to our staff when you arrive, and remember to wear a face mask and scan in on arrival.

Highly recommend

As a long time resident of Christchurch this was something I'd never done before and absolutely loved it. I've seen and worked in the central city for many years but seeing the sights through the eyes of someone who hadn't been here during the quakes and changes our city undertook was fascinating. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!

All the staff were amazing the tram drivers were very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour- very welcoming - highly recommend to get some great stories as well as get your bearings

Excellent way to explore city centre

Great value for money. Just start early, even if one day is not enough to visit all the sites. Great way to find your bearing. Our driver even gave a quick walking tour of the museum as an extra when the tram was running 10min early. Great experience on a 100yr old tram. The friendly drivers gave slightly different insights which made the hop on and off truly informative.
